Care for Babies & Children
Thoughtful, Gentle Support for Growing Bodies

How Dr. Patel Works with Babies and Children
Children are not treated like small adults. Assessment and care are tailored carefully and conservatively.
Dr. Patel begins by listening to parents’ concerns and learning about the child’s birth history, development, movement patterns, and daily activities. For infants, this may include feeding, sleeping, and comfort patterns. For older children, it often includes posture, activity level, school demands, and sports.
Care, when appropriate, uses extremely gentle techniques. In babies, this may involve light fingertip pressure rather than traditional adjustments. With children and adolescents, care is still low-force and guided by comfort and response.
The goal is to support how the body moves and adapts as it grows, while respecting that development is a natural process.
Common Reasons Parents Seek Care
Sports or play-related injuries
Discomfort or unsettled behavior
Feeding or latching challenges
Postural changes or imbalances
Tension or asymmetry noticed in infants
Concerns about movement, coordination, or flexibility
Growing pains or activity-related strain
A Conservative Approach, Always
Care for babies and children at Vanguard Health & Wellness is intentionally conservative. If chiropractic care is not appropriate, that will be communicated clearly. The goal is not to treat every child, but to provide thoughtful guidance and support when it makes sense.
